First generation

Mochtar Riady

Mr. Mochtar Riady was born in malang regency on 12th May 1929. He is the founder of Lippo Group.

Mochtar Riady was former banker of Bank Kemakmuran, Bank Buana, Bank Panin and BCA.


He took his college at Nanking University, major in Philosophy.Then He took college at Indonesia University.


James Riady

Mr.James Riady is son of Mr. Mochtar Riady. He was born in 1957. He was sent by his father to study at University Of Melbourne. Eight years later Mr. James was sent to United State of America at 1977.

He was developing Worthen Bank at Arkansas, USA. At the city, Mr. James met with Mr. Jack Steven, Best friend of his father.

Mr. James under Lippo group also built color television factory cooperated with Zenith Electronic. The Factory was located at Jakarta.

At Arkansas Mr. James got acquainted to Mr. Bill Clinton. At that time, Mr. Bill Clinton was governor of Arkansas.

Third Generation

John Riady

Mr. John Riady is son of Mr. James Riady, currently Mr. john serves as Director of Lippogroup, President Commissioner of Siloam International Hospitals.

Mr. john Riady holds MBA degree from Wharton school of Business at the university of Pennsylvania and juris doctor from columbia university's law school.
